Phoebe Bridgers Biography
Phoebe Bridgers is an indie rock singer-songwriter and four-time Grammy Award winner from eleven nominations. She released her debut album, Stranger in the Alps, in 2017, gaining critical recognition for its introspective lyricism and atmospheric folk-influenced sound. Her second album, Punisher (2020), further established her as a leading voice in contemporary indie music.
Bridgers is also a member of the indie rock supergroup boygenius with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. The group released its self-titled EP in 2018 and later the full-length album The Record in 2023, which contributed to Bridgers’ multiple Grammy wins that year. She is also part of the duo Better Oblivion Community Center with Conor Oberst.
Known for emotionally vulnerable songwriting, Bridgers’ music often explores themes of grief, trauma, depression and relationships, blending indie rock, folk and pop elements. She has collaborated with artists including Taylor Swift, SZA and The 1975 - Matty Healy.
Bridgers has also appeared in film and television projects, including the Hulu adaptation of "Conversations with Friends" and the A24 horror film "I Saw the TV Glow." She continues to release music, tour internationally and contribute to the modern indie rock landscape.
