Olivia Miles

Olivia Miles is a professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Miles established her reputation through a college basketball career that included tenures at Notre Dame and TCU, where she achieved multiple milestones in NCAA women's basketball. Rated a five-star recruit by ESPN, Miles committed to Notre Dame after considering Stanford and North Carolina. In her first NCAA Tournament appearance, she became the first freshman in women's or men's tournament history to record a triple-double, posting 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in a victory over UMass. During her freshman season, Miles averaged 13.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game, ranking second in assists among NCAA Division I players.

Miles surpassed Skylar Diggins and Jackie Young for the most triple-doubles in Notre Dame history before missing an entire season due to a torn ACL. Upon her return, she recorded a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in her first game back, becoming the first player in NBA, WNBA, or men's or women's college basketball to sit out a year with injury and post a 20-point triple-double in their first game back. As a senior, Miles joined Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark as the only players in NCAA history to average 15 points, five assists, and five rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range.

After her time at Notre Dame, Miles transferred to TCU rather than entering the WNBA Draft. At TCU, she averaged 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game across 38 appearances. Miles was named to four All-American teams and helped lead TCU to a 32-6 record and a final AP Poll ranking of sixth in the nation. She reached her 2,000th career point during the season, becoming one of four players in NCAA history to record at least 2,000 points, 800 rebounds, and 800 assists in a career, and became the first NCAA player to average at least 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and 1.5 steals per game in a single season.

Miles has also competed internationally, representing Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup, where she led the tournament in assists per game and total assists, helping the team secure a gold medal. Academically, Miles earned a bachelor of science degree in political science and a master's degree in nonprofit administration from Notre Dame. She also received the Kay Yow Scholar Athlete of the Year award.

The Minnesota Lynx selected Miles as the second overall pick in the WNBA Draft. As a point guard known for her passing, vision, and versatility, Miles provides the Lynx with a dynamic playmaker. She has 12 career triple-doubles, the third most in Division I history, trailing only Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark. Miles enters the WNBA as a proven floor general with a record of achievement in women's basketball at both the collegiate and international levels.
