Katie Leung gained recognition in the film industry for her role as Cho Chang in the "Harry Potter" series. This was followed by a notable presence in the world of television, with lead roles in British miniseries such as "One Child" and "Strangers". Leung also showcased her talents in the animated world, lending her voice to Caitlyn Kiramman in the Netflix series "Arcane" and featuring in the Amazon Prime Video sci-fi series "The Peripheral" as Ash. Leung joined the cast of "Bridgerton" for its fourth season.

Leung's career also extended to the stage, making her debut in the autobiographical play "Wild Swans" in 2012. She further demonstrated her theatrical prowess in Tony Kushner's play "The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures" at the Hampstead Theatre in London in 2016.
