Joe Pesci

Joe Pesci is known in the film industry for his portrayals of tough, volatile characters across a range of genres, particularly in crime dramas and comedies. Pesci is recognized for his collaborations with director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro in films such as "Raging Bull," "Goodfellas," "Casino," and "The Irishman." Before establishing his career in Hollywood, Pesci faced challenges and considered leaving acting. His performance in "The Death Collector" caught the attention of De Niro, who introduced the film to Scorsese, leading to Pesci's casting in "Raging Bull." For his role as Joey LaMotta in "Raging Bull," Pesci received the BAFTA Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer to Lead Film Roles and earned nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
