
Ed Helms is an American actor, comedian, writer, and musician whose career spans television, film, animation, and live performance. Helms first gained national attention as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," where he contributed field reports and hosted segments such as "Digital Watch," "Ad Nauseam," and "Mark Your Calendar."
Helms rose to greater prominence as a cast member of the NBC mockumentary "The Office," playing paper salesman Andy Bernard. The role highlighted his musical abilities as a banjo player and singer, with his character often performing songs. Helms expanded his film career by co-starring in the comedy "The Hangover" alongside Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha. He reprised his role as Stuart Price in "The Hangover Part II" and "The Hangover Part III," with all three films achieving box office success.

He is a member of the bluegrass band The Lonesome Trio with Ian Riggs and Jacob Tilove, and regularly performs bluegrass music on guitar, banjo, and piano. Helms co-presents the L.A. In the entertainment business, he launched the production company Pacific Electric Picture Co. with producing partner Michael Falbo.
