Christopher Meloni

Christopher Meloni is recognized in the television industry for his portrayal of NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on the NBC legal drama series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and its spin-off "Law & Order: Organized Crime." Meloni received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his work as Stabler. Prior to these roles, Meloni developed his acting skills through various jobs, including construction work, bouncing, and personal training, before gaining experience in commercials. He furthered his training by studying with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.

Meloni's career breakthrough included two contrasting roles: the character Chris Keller on the HBO series "Oz" and Detective Stabler on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
