Chad Michael Murray is an actor, author, and poet. He is known for his portrayal of Lucas Scott in "One Tree Hill," which earned him the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV – Breakout Actor in 2004 and Choice TV Actor – Drama in 2008. Murray's filmography also includes notable roles in films such as "A Cinderella Story" and "Freaky Friday," both of which enjoyed significant box office success. In 2025, he reprised his role in the "Freaky Friday" sequel, "Freakier Friday." He has also ventured into the comic book and literary world, co-authoring a graphic novel titled "Everlast" in 2011 and a novel titled "American Drifter" in 2017. He recently uploaded poetry to his professional website.
Throughout his career, Murray has continued to diversify his roles and mediums. He has had roles in television series such as "Chosen," "Sun Records," and Marvel-ABC's "Agent Carter," as well as a recurring role in Fox's "Star." He even made an appearance in the music video for Alicia Keys' "Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)," which won Outstanding Music Video at the 42nd NAACP Image Awards in 2011. Currently, he is starring in the television series "Sullivan's Crossing."
