Candace Owens

Candace Owens is a conservative commentator and media personality known for her influence in American political discourse. After studying journalism at the University of Rhode Island and working at a private equity firm in Manhattan, Owens shifted to political activism, initially gaining national attention through viral YouTube videos under the name RedPillBlack. Her response to the Charlottesville rally brought her to the forefront of conservative media, drawing the attention of major figures in the movement.

Owens served as communications director for Turning Point USA, a nonprofit focused on promoting conservative principles among young Americans. She co-founded the BLEXIT Foundation, a charitable organization encouraging Black Americans to reconsider their political affiliations and introducing conservative values to urban minority communities. The foundation established chapters in more than 35 states and hosted events attended by tens of thousands nationwide. Owens expanded her media presence by hosting "The Candace Owens Show" on PragerU, a weekly podcast featuring guests from across the political and cultural spectrum.

Owens authored the New York Times bestselling book "Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation," which sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. She has testified before Congressional committees and delivered speeches at more than 60 American and international universities.

After her tenure at The Daily Wire, Owens launched an independent platform, including a podcast and YouTube channel, which surpassed 5.5 million subscribers. Her podcast ranked among the most downloaded political podcasts globally, with millions of downloads and views per episode. With a combined social media following exceeding 11 million, Owens has developed a media brand spanning podcasting, publishing, and live events. Her career is characterized by both strong support from her audience and significant controversy, establishing her as a prominent and debated figure in conservative digital media.
