Brett Goldstein

Brett Goldstein is a British actor, comedian, writer, producer, and podcaster whose career spans stand-up comedy, television, film, and podcasting. Goldstein began performing stand-up on the British comedy circuit, including appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before gaining recognition in UK television series such as BBC One's "Uncle," E4's "Drifters," and Channel 4's "Derek." His early film work includes a British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for "Adult Life Skills." Goldstein also wrote and starred in the superhero romantic comedy "SuperBob" and co-created the AMC science fiction anthology series "Soulmates" with Will Bridges.

Goldstein's career expanded significantly when he joined the Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso" as both a writer and actor. Initially hired for the writers' room, Goldstein auditioned for and was cast as Roy Kent, a role that earned him multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble cast. In addition to acting, Goldstein contributed as a writer and executive producer on "Ted Lasso," helping to shape its comedic and emotional tone.

Goldstein co-created the Apple TV+ comedy-drama series "Shrinking" with Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence, joining the cast in a recurring role. His performance in "Shrinking" earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. He appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hercules in "Thor: Love and Thunder" and wrote and starred in the romance film "All of You," which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Goldstein also stars in the Netflix romantic comedy "Office Romance." His podcast, "Films to Be Buried With," features guests discussing influential movies and has produced more than 150 episodes.
