Michael Buffer Biography
Michael Buffer (born November 2, 1944) is a well-known American boxing ring announcer.
With his tuxedo and famous catchphrase "Let's get ready to rumble!"®, Buffer has become one of the most recognized faces in the world of sports entertainment thanks to his 20 plus years of announcing many of the biggest championship boxing events. In addition to being his personal catchphrase, "Let's get ready to rumble!"® is a registered trademark in the United States.
Buffer's catchphrase has provided him with many media opportunities. He has been animated in the hit animated series The Simpsons, has been a guest of shock radio DJ Howard Stern multiple times, provided the voice on a number one hit single "Lets Get Ready To Rumble® (USA)" and appears in boxing video game Ready 2 Rumble. His famous phrase was on Jock Jams, and was incorporated into the Jock Jam megamix. He was also the special ring announcer for World Championship Wrestling.
