Institutional Strategist, Former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent, Former NFL Athlete, Author & Philanthropist Who Speaks on Leadership, Resilience, Strategic Philanthropy, and The Systems That Shape Economic Opportunity
Antomius Wise Biography
Antomius Wise is an institutional strategist, former U.S. Secret Service special agent, former NFL minicamp athlete, author, and philanthropist who speaks on leadership, resilience, strategic philanthropy, and the systems that shape economic opportunity. He helps audiences lead under pressure, recognize overlooked opportunities, and turn personal and organizational success into lasting community impact.
Wise’s Secret Service career included protecting Presidents and Vice Presidents, serving on the detail’s Counter Surveillance Unit, conducting financial investigations, serving on an IRS task force, and acting as a liaison to a COVID-19 task force. These experiences inform his approach to preparation, sound judgment, accountability, and decision-making when the stakes are high.
At eight years old, Wise lost his mother to AIDS. He shares this experience in his contribution to "The Change 17: Insights Into Self Empowerment," a book he co-authored, with a foreword by Les Brown. His personal story brings depth to his message about resilience, purpose, and building a life of service beyond one’s own success.
Wise holds an MBA in Public Administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management. He is the founder of Wise Protective Service & More, Inc. (WPSM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose work spans financial literacy, emergency assistance, domestic violence survivor support, youth development, and health and fitness.
WPSM’s initiatives include Emergency Assistance for Families, Laptops For Hope, and youth football and mentoring programs. Its emergency assistance initiative provides assistance and resources for families in crisis, including domestic violence survivors, individuals facing serious health challenges such as HIV, and those experiencing unexpected hardship. Through partnerships with local organizations and service providers, WPSM helps connect families with critical support.
WPSM was a 2024 grant recipient under the IRS Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program and is a nonprofit partner of United Way of the National Capital Area. These organizational experiences inform Wise’s perspective on community partnerships, program delivery, and sustaining a charitable mission.
Wise built WPSM around a two-engine nonprofit model: community impact and mission-aligned earned revenue. Its community programs provide practical assistance and opportunity, while its fee-based educational programs advance financial literacy, strategic philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership while generating revenue to support the organization’s work. Both engines serve the same mission, connecting community benefit with the resources needed to sustain it.
To help power this model, Wise created educational intellectual property for WPSM, including original curriculum and teaching frameworks delivered through Wise Tax Strategies and WTS Academy. These mission-aligned programs translate his experience into structured education on tax strategy, strategic philanthropy, nonprofit governance, and organizational development. His educational work has served more than 100 WTS Academy clients and includes hundreds of Strategic Philanthropy Impact Analysis briefings. He helps high-income professionals, business owners, athletes, and nonprofit leaders ask better questions and work more effectively with their tax, legal, and financial advisers.
Wise brings this firsthand experience to nonprofit and philanthropic audiences, exploring how organizations can turn their expertise into educational programs that generate earned revenue and advance their missions. His workshops connect donor education, strategic giving, governance, and sustainable organizational growth with practical examples from building and operating WPSM.
His signature presentation, “From the Field to Secret Service,” connects lessons from football, federal protection, and entrepreneurship to preparation, teamwork, resilience, and leadership. His message, “Make the Invisible Visible,” challenges audiences to recognize the incentives, structures, and overlooked decisions behind the outcomes they see, then use that understanding to make stronger decisions.
Wise delivers keynotes, interactive workshops, panels, executive education, and private briefings for universities, professional associations, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and philanthropic audiences. His engagements include George Washington University and the Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association. Through personal stories, educational case examples, and guided discussion, he connects leadership, financial understanding, and philanthropy to a larger purpose: bringing value to society and creating economic growth.
Service is also a family commitment. His wife, Akilah Wise, serves as WPSM’s president and leads its community impact work, and his two sons serve as ambassadors for the organization. Their involvement brings a personal dimension to his message about building a meaningful legacy, teaching service by example, and leading with a servant’s heart.
