Keith Getty and Kristyn Getty are a Grammy-nominated musical duo from Northern Ireland recognized for their contributions to the modern hymn movement. As hymnwriters and founders of Getty Music, the Gettys have been described by Christianity Today as influential figures who have impacted evangelical worship practices. Keith Getty began his career as a provincial award-winning musician on flute, guitar, and piano before focusing on composing, conducting, and producing. He entered the music industry as an arranger and founded New Irish Arts while still in high school. Early in his career, Getty worked as an arranger and orchestrator for artists and productions in both sacred and secular music, collaborating with James Galway, Michael W. Smith, and the African Children's Choir.

Kristyn Getty started singing as a teenager in her family's church in Northern Ireland and studied English literature at Queen's University of Belfast. The two met through a mutual connection, began collaborating, and later married, dedicating themselves to songwriting and recording.

The Gettys' catalog is anchored by "In Christ Alone," co-written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. This hymn has been ranked among the most popular hymns in surveys conducted by BBC Songs of Praise. Getty Music's song catalog includes more than 50 of the top 500 CCLI-reported songs in U.S. and U.K. churches, with publishers estimating that over 100 million people sing Getty hymns annually. By reinventing the traditional hymn form, the Gettys have developed a repertoire that teaches Christian doctrine and spans traditional, classical, folk, and contemporary genres, with songs sung worldwide.

Throughout their career, the Gettys have released 26 albums and have been nominated for a Grammy Award, as well as winning two Dove Awards. Notable releases include "Joy: An Irish Christmas," "Evensong (Hymns and Lullabies at the Close of Day)," "Facing a Task Unfinished," and "Confessio: Irish American Roots." "Evensong" debuted at No. 1 on both the Top Christian Albums chart and the Kid Albums chart. The album "North Coast Sessions" received a Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year. The duo also co-authored the book "Sing! How Worship Transforms Your Life, Family, and Church," contributing to the discourse on congregational worship. The Gettys have appeared on national television on CBS, PBS, and BBC, including a PBS Christmas music special, "Joy—An Irish Christmas," and a TBN special filmed at the Grand Ole Opry House.

The Gettys' influence extends to live performance and events. Their touring company has sold out major venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and arenas on three continents. Their concerts have been featured on PBS, CBS, BBC, and TBN. The Gettys have performed for U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, President George W. Keith Getty was appointed an Officer of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for services to music and hymn writing, becoming the first contemporary Christian songwriter to receive this honor. Kristyn Getty is a Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music, was awarded the Freedom of the City of Lisburn and Castlereagh, received a She Leads UK award at Windsor Castle for her contributions to Christianity in Britain, and was named International Woman of the Year by She Leads Tennessee. Keith Getty holds honorary doctorates from Lancaster Bible College and Dallas Baptist University, while Kristyn Getty received an honorary doctorate from Dallas Baptist University. Together, they continue to shape Christian worship through Getty Music, global touring, and their commitment to crafting hymns that resonate across generations and denominations.
