Stephanie Wrobel Biography

Stephanie Wrobel is an author and former copywriter. Her first novel, “Darling Rose Gold,” will release in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom in 2020.

As a child, Wrobel dreamed of becoming a creative writer, she never considered it as a profession. Being an author just didn't seem like a realistic or practical career choice. Instead, she worked as a copywriter, then associate creative director for advertising agencies in Chicago. During this time, she wrote and helped produce television and radio spots, print ads, billboards, and digital campaigns for brands like Coors, McDonald's, and Capital One.

However, after moving to London, bouncing between freelance copywriting jobs and stuck in a major rut, she applied to graduate schools for creative writing. Wrobel decided to give writing her all for a couple years and see what happened. It was the best decision she’s ever made.

Wrobel’s first novel, titled Darling Rose Gold, is set to release on March 17, 2020. Stylist Magazine has already deemed the novel “2020’s biggest thriller.”

She has an MFA from Emerson College and has had short fiction published in Bellevue Literary Review. She currently lives in London with her husband and dog, Moose Barkwinkle.
