Laurie Ann Goldman is the CEO of LA Ventures, an investment and advisory firm she founded for growth-oriented, consumer-facing businesses. She also serves as a Corporate Board Director for Public and Private Equity backed companies. With 30 years of brand marketing, operational and consumer engagement experience, she most recently served as the CEO of Avon and and was the former CEO of Spanx. At Avon, she worked for Private Equity investor Cerberus Capital to position the company for sale and completed a transaction with LG H & H within a year.
At Spanx, Goldman was the company's first Chief Executive Officer. She helped build the Spanx brand from a small start-up to a successful global business with a number one position in market and mind share. Prior to Spanx, Laurie Ann held progressively responsible marketing and operational leadership roles both in Coca Cola USA and Global Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company including heading the Worldwide Licensing division.
Laurie Ann currently sits on the Board of Directors of Guess? Inc. NYSE, ServiceMaster NYSE and Joe and the Juice. She graduated with honors from the Moody School of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Science degree.
