Chris Emery Biography

Author Christopher Beauregard Emery published his first book, “White House Usher: Stories from the Inside” in 2017 [second edition December 2020], a memoir detailing his time managing the White House for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.

Chris Emery’s latest book, “White House Usher: Who Killed the President?” [Published August 2021], a mystery novel, takes place in one of the more unique settings in existence: the White House executive residence, home of the First Family. Murder, romance, deceit, and a suspenseful struggle all ensue as the main character struggles to solve the case. Emery uses his in-depth knowledge of White House history and the inner workings of the private residence to create a thrilling murder mystery from an insider’s perspective.

For the past five years, Emery has done several live TV and Radio interviews, highlighted by two LIVE appearances on CNN, including an 8 minute interview with Anderson Cooper. Emery also has done a 7 minute live Fox5 DC TV interview, radio interviews in Baltimore, Minneapolis, and Reno. He has conducted over fifty speaking engagements across the US, where audiences have ranged from 20 to 400, including being a keynote speaker at a technology conference, speaking at numerous Rotary Clubs, various civic groups, libraries, military bases, elementary and high schools, etc.

During his twenty-nine nears in the federal government, Emery maintained a Top Secret clearance while being a CIO, Chief Architect, & Director of various things with the White House, US Congress, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice, where he served in a senior management role for the National Security Division, the agency responsible for serving as the liaison between the Attorney General and the Intelligence Community.

Emery graduated from the University of Maryland, with a Bachelor of Science degree, Information Systems Management, Minor in Management.

Emery has a TOP SECRET Clearance.
