Nicola Galombik Biography
Nicola Galombik is executive director of Yellowwoods Holdings, an investment holding company, and chief executive of Yellowwoods Inclusive Growth Catalyst. She previously founded and was managing director of Converse, a management consulting business focused on large-scale organization change and leadership consulting. Prior to that, Galombik held senior executive positions in television broadcasting, policy, regulation, and education, and was an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Her board service includes Yellowwoods Ventures Investments, Spier Wines, African Leadership Network, Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, and KYB ECD Enterprise Incubator SmartStart, the latter two which she co-founded and chairs. She is a McNulty Prize laureate and a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Nicola is an Executive Director of Yellowwoods, the investment holding company of several businesses in the financial services sector (incl Hollard, Clientelle, Telesure and Direct Axis) as well as in the restaurant and leisure sector (Nandos, Spier and &Beyond). Nicola sits on the global Yellowwoods board and is the Chief Executive responsible for social dividends and for promoting sustainable and inclusive growth strategies across the Yellowwoods investment portfolio.
Prior to this Nicola established and was Managing Director of Converse, a management consulting business within the Resolve Group, focused on large-scale organisational change in the public sector, parastatals and the private sector.
Previously, Nicola held senior executive positions in broadcasting, policy and regulation and in education.
Nicola was a Fulbright scholar and has an MA in media and cinema studies from New York University. She has been a speaker at numerous local and global conferences on change communication and leadership, as well as on business and society and sustainable business. Nicola is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
