Mark Feuerstein Biography

Mark Feuerstein is an actor, writer, and producer whose career spans more than two decades across film, television, and theater. A graduate of Princeton University, he further developed his craft as a Fulbright scholar at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and L'École Philippe Gaulier in France, a training background that has contributed to his range as a performer. Feuerstein made his early mark on television with a recurring role on the NBC sitcom "Caroline in the City" and a guest appearance on "Sex and the City," before starring in NBC series including "Fired Up," "Conrad Bloom," and "Good Morning, Miami."

Feuerstein is known for his lead role as Dr. Henry Hank Lawson in the USA Network series "Royal Pains," which ran for eight seasons. The show followed an ER doctor turned concierge physician in the Hamptons, and Feuerstein served as co-executive producer and producer on the series. His television work extends beyond "Royal Pains," with appearances on "The West Wing," "Prison Break," and "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later," as well as a Children's and Family Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Performance for his work on Netflix's "The Baby-Sitters Club."

On the big screen, Feuerstein has appeared in films including the World War II drama "Defiance" alongside Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber, Curtis Hanson's "In Her Shoes" opposite Cameron Diaz and Shirley MacLaine, and the blockbuster "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson. He also co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in the CBS sitcom "9JKL," a semi-autobiographical comedy inspired by his own life experiences. His Broadway debut came in Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play "The Last Night of Ballyhoo," and he has continued to pursue stage work throughout his career.

Feuerstein has taken on a variety of roles, including Burton Greenberg, the owner of Miami's Mutiny Hotel, in the MGM+ crime drama "Hotel Cocaine," set against the backdrop of the Miami cocaine scene. He also appeared in Apple TV+'s "Lady in the Lake," and has held a recurring role in the Netflix series "Nemesis." Throughout his career, Feuerstein has demonstrated versatility in drama, comedy, and stage performance, contributing to the landscape of American television, film, and theater.
