Vincent F. Macaluso MD Biography

Dr. Vincent F. Macaluso is a neurologist and multiple sclerosis specialist who brings a dual perspective to the field, both treating and living with the disease. Macaluso was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 19. He earned a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in neurobiology and behavior from Cornell University. With more than three decades of clinical experience, Macaluso practices as a neurologist in New Hyde Park, New York, where he serves as director of the Macaluso Medical Infusion Center, specializing in neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis.

Macaluso has focused his career on helping patients manage multiple sclerosis and its various forms, including relapsing-remitting, primary progressive, and secondary progressive variants. His treatment approach includes infusion therapy and chemotherapy for neurological conditions, and he collaborates with physical therapy teams to provide comprehensive care. As a member of the Biogen Idec National Faculty, Macaluso has hosted and spoken at hundreds of patient and physician conferences throughout the United States.
