Tim Sweeney

Tim Sweeney is a prominent figure in the interactive entertainment and video game development industry. As the founder, president, and CEO of Epic Games, Sweeney established the company, initially operating it as Potomac Computer Systems to distribute shareware titles such as "ZZT." Between the ages of 11 and 15, he dedicated significant time to self-teaching programming using online bulletin boards. Sweeney attended the University of Maryland to study mechanical engineering but left before completing his degree due to the rapid growth of his company.
