Tim Burton

Tim Burton, an influential figure in the American film industry, made his directorial debut in 1985 with "Pee-wee's Big Adventure". He garnered attention with the success of "Beetlejuice" in 1988 and "Edward Scissorhands" in 1990, films that helped popularize Goth culture in cinema. His scope widened with the superhero films "Batman" and "Batman Returns", alongside animated features such as "Corpse Bride" and "Frankenweenie". Burton's filmography also includes critically acclaimed biographical dramas "Ed Wood" and "Big Eyes", as well as a diverse range of genres from science fiction to supernatural horror and fantasy. His work with Netflix on the series "Wednesday" earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. In 2024, he directed "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice".
