Rufus Sewell

Rufus Sewell is a British actor known for his work across stage, film, and television. Trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, Sewell's professional stage debut was in "Making It Better," for which he won the Best Newcomer Award. He originated the role of Septimus Hodge in Tom Stoppard's play "Arcadia," earning an Olivier Award nomination. On Broadway, Sewell debuted in "Translations" and received the Broadway Theater World Award.

Sewell's screen career gained momentum with his role as Will Ladislaw in the BBC adaptation of George Eliot's "Middlemarch." He went on to appear in films such as "A Knight's Tale," "The Illusionist," "Dark City," "Dangerous Beauty," "The Holiday," "Amazing Grace," and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
