Mitchell Robinson

Mitchell Robinson is a 7-foot center recognized in the NBA for his rebounding, shot-blocking, and efficiency around the rim. Robinson began playing basketball in eighth grade and attended Pine Forest High before transferring to Chalmette High in Louisiana, where he experienced significant physical growth. In his senior season at Chalmette, Robinson averaged 25.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game, earning Naismith Trophy All-American honorable mention and McDonald's All-American honors. He initially committed to Western Kentucky but ultimately chose to forgo college to prepare for the NBA Draft.

Robinson was selected with the No. 36 pick by the New York Knicks and earned NBA All-Rookie team honors in his first season. Over eight seasons with the Knicks, he averaged 7.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in just under 24 minutes per game, with a career field goal percentage of 70.2. Robinson was the longest-tenured Knick and one of two rotation players originally drafted by New York who contributed significantly during the team's championship run.

Robinson played a key role as the Knicks secured an NBA championship, averaging 4.2 offensive rebounds per game, ranking second in the league. He appeared in 60 games that season, the most since an earlier campaign, overcoming injuries that had impacted his career.
