Mike Vrabel

Mike Vrabel, a notable figure in the world of football, has a career that spans both playing and coaching. As a player, he secured three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots, specifically Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX. His on-field achievements were underscored by an array of accolades, including a First-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in 2007. As a college athlete at Ohio State, Vrabel was a Consensus All-American in 1996 and a two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year. He notably scored the first Super Bowl touchdown on offense by a defensive player since 1986.

Following his successful stint as a player, Vrabel transitioned into coaching. He commenced his coaching career as a linebackers coach at his alma mater, Ohio State, in 2011. Later, he joined the Houston Texans as a linebackers coach in 2014, eventually taking on the role of defensive coordinator in 2017. His tenure as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, from 2018 to 2023, was marked by significant victories, such as leading the Titans to their first AFC Championship game in seventeen seasons during the 2019 NFL playoffs.

Following his stint with the Titans, Vrabel held a brief consulting role with the Cleveland Browns before taking on his current role as head coach of the New England Patriots in 2025, a position he previously held as a player. This move marks a return to his roots, as Vrabel is a member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame, and was part of the Patriots teams that won two Super Bowls. His contributions to football, both as a player and a coach, led to his recognition as the NFL Coach of the Year in 2021.
