Michael A. Gayed

Michael A. Gayed, CFA, is a portfolio manager, investment strategist, and researcher specializing in quantitative market analysis and tactical asset allocation. Gayed earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in finance and management from NYU Stern School of Business and became a CFA Charterholder. Early in his career, Gayed served as a strategist at AmeriCap Advisers LLC, a registered investment advisory firm managing equity portfolios for institutional clients. He later launched a long/short hedge fund, employing trading strategies focused on stock market anomalies.

Gayed has served as chief investment strategist and co-portfolio manager at Pension Partners, LLC, where he managed a mutual fund and separate accounts using ATAC (Accelerated Time and Capital) strategies centered on inflation rotation. He is the portfolio manager of the ATAC Rotation Fund, a tactical mutual fund designed to provide low correlation and defensive positioning ahead of market volatility. Gayed also serves as a portfolio manager at Tidal Financial Group, an ETF investment and technology platform, where he manages the ATAC Rotation Fund and hosts Get Think Tanked Thursdays, a weekly live program discussing financial markets.
