Matt Cornett is an actor and singer recognized for his work in television, film, and music. Cornett began his acting career in the television series "Nightmare U," portraying Daniel. He later appeared as Lou in the crime drama series "Southland," earning a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series - Guest Starring Young Actor. Cornett further expanded his television résumé with a recurring role as Zach Barnes in the comedy series "Bella and the Bulldogs," which garnered him another Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series - Recurring Young Actor.
Cornett is widely known for his role as E.J. Caswell on the Disney+ series "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" and as one of the protagonists in the Disney Channel film "Zombies 3." In "Zombies 3," Cornett played the extraterrestrial A-Lan, demonstrating his range in both acting and singing across Disney properties.
Cornett also stars as Sam Florek in Prime Video's romance adaptation "Every Year After," a series set in a Canadian lake town that explores themes of first love, heartbreak, regret, and second chances. The eight-episode series is adapted from the bestselling novel "Every Summer After" by Carley Fortune and premiered at the Tribeca Festival before its release on Amazon Prime Video.
