Faith Daniels

Faith Daniels is an American television news anchor, reporter, and talk show host recognized for her contributions to broadcast journalism. Daniels graduated magna cum laude from Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia, and began her media career as an intern at WTRF-TV in Wheeling while still a junior in college. She subsequently worked for ABC and CBS News affiliates in Peoria, Illinois; WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio; and WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, gaining experience in news reporting and anchoring.

Daniels launched her national television broadcast career at CBS News as anchor of "The CBS Morning News," becoming one of the youngest network news anchors. She later served as news anchor for "CBS This Morning" and as a correspondent on "CBS Sunday Morning" and "48 Hours," earning a national Emmy Award and multiple nominations for her work in investigative journalism and news reporting. Daniels joined NBC as the news anchor for the "Today Show" and anchor of NBC's "News at Sunrise."

She became the first journalist to host a nationally syndicated daily talk show, "A Closer Look," which was later renamed "Faith Daniels." The program aired on NBC and featured high-profile interviews, including one with Stacey Koon, a police officer involved in the beating of Rodney King. Daniels later joined the NBC news magazine Dateline, where she covered major international stories such as Desert Storm, the conflict in the former Yugoslavia, and the Olympics. Her career also included a cameo appearance with journalists Katie Couric, Paula Zahn, and Joan Lunden in an episode of "Murphy Brown," as well as a role as a debate moderator in the film "Man of the Year."

In addition to her broadcasting work, Daniels is a media consultant, advising company CEOs and executives on strategic messaging, delivery skills, and national product release announcements. Her clients have included IBM, First Trust, John Hancock, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk, Bloomberg, and Ruder Finn. Daniels is also active in public service, supporting the National Council for Adoption and testifying before Congress on its behalf. She served as president of the board of trustees for D.E.B.R.A., a national nonprofit organization, for 20 years and is now president emeritus and a board member. Daniels also serves on the advisory committee of Let's Win!, an organization supporting pancreatic cancer patients and connecting them with researchers and clinical trials.
