Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán, popularly known as Canelo Álvarez, is a renowned Mexican professional boxer. He began his professional boxing career at the young age of 15 and has since achieved multiple world championships across four weight classes. His accomplishments in the boxing world include becoming the undisputed super middleweight champion in 2021, a feat he repeated in 2025, and being recognized as the world's best boxer, pound for pound, by The Ring from November 2019 to May 2022. In addition to his prowess in the ring, Álvarez has consistently been one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, making Forbes' list in 2019, 2022, and 2023.

Álvarez's career has been marked by notable triumphs and high-profile matches. In 2011, he became the youngest boxer to claim the WBC light middleweight title at age 20.
