Alex Borstein

Alex Borstein is an American actress, comedian, writer, and producer known for her work in television, animation, and stand-up comedy. Borstein trained in improvisational comedy at ACME Comedy Theatre in Hollywood, California, and was selected to join "MADtv" after her performances at the theater. She contributed as a writer and voice actor for several television shows, including "Casper," "Pinky and the Brain," and "Power Rangers: Zeo," before joining the cast of "MADtv" as a featured and later repertory player. On "MADtv," Borstein created the character Ms. Swan, inspired by her grandmother and the singer Björk.

Seth MacFarlane cast Borstein as the voice of Lois Griffin in "Family Guy" on Fox, a role that established her as a key figure in animated television. She also serves as a co-producer and screenwriter for "Family Guy." Borstein has received three Emmy Awards from eight nominations, including recognition for her work as a co-producer and as the voice of Lois Griffin.

Borstein starred as Susie Myerson in the Amazon Prime Video series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
