Jo De La Rosa stars on the BRAVO mega hit The Real Housewives of Orange County, TUESDAYS @ 10PM/PST, where she plays herself as the 24 year-old, sexy newcomer to the gate-guarded and ultra-exclusive community of Coto de Caza. For this Latin beauty, landing the role on The Real Housewives might have come easy but keeping up with her day-to-day obligations of press and media to promote the show have proved to be quite challenging.

De La Rosa has just wrapped on a press junket including interviews on The Today Show, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, E! News and TV Guide’s Reality Chat. Radio interviews include Lizza Gibbons and Star 98.7 with Jamie, Jack and Stench. De La Rosa’s photos have also graced the covers of newspapers including The Orange County Register, LA Times, OC Weekly, Excelsior News and The Coto De Caza News. Magazine ads and articles include Playboy, PEOPLE, US Weekly, Star, TV Guide, OK, Coast and Celebrity. The media continues to air comparisons between Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria and De La Rosa.

Young, 20-something viewers can relate to De La Rosa on the show as she has found herself at a crossroads with the responsibilities of being a new fiancé and a dutiful mother versus living the single life and partying with all her friends. Despite this struggle, fiancé Slade Smiley has given Jo the luxurious lifestyle any girl would dream of: a 5,000 square-foot estate, a new Mercedes Benz, a chromed-out Hummer, shopping sprees galore and a $100,000 canary diamond ring.

For De La Rosa, life wasn’t always as glamorous as her present life “behind the gates." Born in Lima, Peru as an only child, her parents immigrated to California when she was 3 years-old and settled down in the city of Tustin. By a stroke of luck, De La Rosa’s parents were blessed by winning the California Lottery in 1994 and moved to Mission Viejo in search of a better life for their daughter. De La Rosa attended UC Irvine, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literature. After graduating from college, she entered a talent contest that brought her to Los Angeles, where she was spotted and subsequently signed by a commercial and dance agent. Training regularly in hip-hop, jazz, singing and theatre, De La Rosa always dreamed of working in the entertainment industry. With her constant requests to model and make guest appearances, De La Rosa’s dreams are certainly coming true.
