Detailed Biography of Erin Moran
|
Erin was born and raised in California. At age 5 on the advise of a family friend, she met with a children's talent agency and was immediately signed. Shortly therafter she was cast in what would be the first of over forty television commercials for such leading brand names as "CREST",KELLOGGS CORN FLAKES",and THREE MUSKETEERS." By the age of 6, Erin made her feature film debut in "HOW SWEET IT IS",starring James Garnet and Debbie Reynolds. That was followed by her first television series "DAKTARI" in which she costarred as Jenny, the resident orphan. Her next series role was Don Rickles daughter on "THE DON RICKLES SHOW".
Between the ages of 8 and 12 she performed in 3 additional feature films"HAPPY ENDINGS", WATERMEALON MAN" and "EIGHTY STEPS TO JONAH".Along with a movie of the week "LISA BRIGHT AND DARK" playing Ann Baxter's daughter.
At the age of 12 , Erin cast in "HAPPY DAYS",one of the longest running situation comedies in television history. While filming "HAPPY DAYS",eRIN Co-starred with Eddie Albert Jr.in the feature film "GALAXY OF TERROR" as well as the movie of the week "TWIRL",starring with Stella Stevens and Charlie Haid. During the tenth season of "HAPPY DAYS", Erin starred in her own spin-off series "JONAIE LOVES CHACHI". eACH Episode featured a musical duet which gave her the opportunity to express and share her love for singing. Throughtout the years, Erin has guest starred in numerous episodic television shows spanning over three decades such as "GUNSMOKE","DEATH VALLEY DAYS","FAMILY AFFAIR", THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER","THE FBI","THE WALTONS","THE LOVE BOAT","HOTEL","MURDER SHE WROTE","DIAGNOSIS MURDER" and "G vs E". Erin was also given the honor to host "DICK CLARK'S NEW YEARS ROCKIN EVE SPECIAL". Erin performed in her theatre as Bella in "LOST IN YONKERS". The went on to tour with "THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG","THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES" and "VANITIES".
