Herman Hoving is psychologist, counselor for leadership in innovation and Venture Idealist. Business vision: Trust, Vision & Diversity will make the difference in renewing companies. With an experience of more than 25 years in various companies and organizations, in The Netherlands and abroad, he is a good sparring partner in accelerating innovation and a facilitator of innovation processes. In 2000 he published a thesis on Leadership in Innovations based on extensive field research. A theory of inspirational leadership and innovation was outlined and empirically confirmed in samples of 160 and 495 managers as well as in an experimental business situation. The results underscore the importance of vision and of coherence in innovation. It was demonstrated that inspirational leaders are able to acquire a higher innovation speed, i.e. turnover from new products and services. Inspirational leadership appears to be the key success factor in accelerating innovation.

Innovation methods and a road map to innovation have been made available in the book The 7 Laws of Innovation together with historian and journalist Rik Plantinga MA (Hoving&Plantinga, 2006). According to the adagium ‘practice what you preach’ Herman’s presentations and workshops are interactive, metaphorical, inspiring and supported by audiovisuals. They taste more of dialogue than of debate.

Abroad he organized seminars and workshops in Spain, Denmark, former Yugoslavia (Slovenia) and Russia. Favorite topics: inspirational leadership, innovation management for speeding up innovation, knowledge management in the experience economy, the psychology of flow, intuition and self efficacy.
