Christina Martin Biography

After Christina Martin was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13 years old, she realized the vital societal need for community, fulfillment, and bridging the trust gap between patients and healthcare professionals. Martin started a club at her high school that today, is Type Zero Foundation, a non-profit organization providing every-day support to Central Florida families impacted by diabetes. Three years ago, she became the first female with type 1 diabetes to compete on NBC's American Ninja Warrior. Martin now stands on stages around the country where she helps to empower both children and adults to create their own paths to success and help others to do the same.

Martin speaks as a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and graduate from the University of Central Florida with her bachelor's degree in kinesiology. She has spoken to large teams with internationally recognized companies such as Tandem Diabetes and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, as well as local teams from organizations such as the Seminole County Sheriff Department.
