Anne Greenhalgh Biography

Dr. Anne M. Greenhalgh is currently a member of the Vice Dean's senior management team, the Director of the Undergraduate Leadership Program, and Adjunct Professor of Management. She is chiefly responsible for the design and delivery of the School's foundation leadership course, Management 100, Leadership and Communication in Groups. She also oversees the Division's summer business institutes: LEAD, LBW, and the SIBT.

Dr. Greenhalgh is an award-winning teacher: she was voted the Best Lecturer in the Social Sciences by the entire student body at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, and she has won the William G. Whitney Teaching Award for Associated Faculty several times. Over the years, Dr. Greenhalgh has worked as an instructor, advisor, or consultant for a number of academic institutions and corporations, including the School District of Philadelphia, Haverford College, the Rotterdam School of Management, Merrill Lynch, Marsh USA Inc, and Banc of America.

The Dean of the Wharton School of Business, Patrick Harker, recently left to become President of the University of Delaware. We, the undersigned, believe that Anne Greenhalgh would be the perfect replacement for Patrick Harker as she is loved by her students (receiving the highest reviews by any professor in the Management department), she is incredibly dedicated to Wharton with a long history of involvement with the University of Pennsylvania, and she is respected by her peers. Even if she is not selected to be the next Dean, we, the undersigned, believe that she would make for a great candidate for future leadership positions within Wharton.
