John Ottman Biography
John Ottman is both an award-winning film composer and film editor. He frequently works in the action genre. He is known for his work on "The Usual Suspects," "Valkyrie," and "X-Men Apocalypse." In addition to composing and editing, Ottman sometimes produces and directs.
Ottman will sometimes compose and edit the same film, which he has done for "X-Men 2," "Valkyrie," and "Superman Returns." He directed, composed and edited "Urban Legends: Final Cut," the sequel to 1998 horror film "Urban Legend."
Ottman has worked as a composer on nearly sixty films and television series. He has worked as an editor on around a dozen projects. He received the Academy Award for 'Achievement in Film Editing' for his work on the 2018 film "Bohemian Rhapsody," the 20th Century Fox biopic about Queen and Freddie Mercury.
