Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, known professionally as Tinashe, is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress recognized for her multidisciplinary contributions to contemporary R&B, pop, and electronic music. Before establishing her solo music career, Tinashe gained experience in the entertainment industry through acting and modeling. Her early roles include a motion-capture performance in the animated film "The Polar Express," portraying Robin Wheeler in the Cartoon Network series "Out of Jimmy's Head," and a recurring role on the CBS series "Two and a Half Men." She was also a member of the Stunners, a teen pop group that recorded for Columbia and Republic and opened for Justin Bieber. After the group disbanded, Tinashe focused on music, releasing mixtapes "In Case We Die" and "Reverie," both produced in her home studio.

Tinashe achieved mainstream recognition with her major label debut single, "2 On" featuring Schoolboy Q, which reached number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and served as the lead single for her debut studio album, "Aquarius." The album was noted by critics as a strong debut by a new female artist. She received nominations for a Soul Train Award and for Best New Artist at the BET Awards. The Snakehips song "All My Friends," featuring Tinashe and Chance the Rapper, won an Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song. A remix of "No Broke Boys" with Disco Lines achieved international commercial success, entering the top ten in several countries and topping Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
