Tanisha Shedden

Tanisha Shedden is a licensed clinical social worker, counselor, coach, speaker, and podcast host whose work focuses on trauma healing, mental health advocacy, and community empowerment. Shedden holds a Master of Social Work degree from Northwest Nazarene University and applies a holistic approach in her counseling practice, specializing in trauma, delinquency, and adoption. Her trauma-informed, client-centered methodology incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, and accelerated resolution therapy, tailored to meet clients' individual goals and needs. Shedden supports adoptees, individuals experiencing grief, and those seeking healing and positive change, drawing on experience in schools, community mental health, and private practice.

Shedden's professional perspective is shaped by her personal experiences as an adoptee and survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Before becoming a licensed counselor, coach, and speaker, she navigated her own healing journey, which informs her work in counseling, advocacy, public speaking, and education. Shedden has advocated at the United Nations to help end child abuse and has developed expertise in trauma-informed care, mental health education, and survivor advocacy. As host of the "Found Life Podcast," Shedden provides a platform dedicated to trauma healing.
