Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson is an actress who started her career in Disney's "Descendants" and its sequels, as well as the Disney Channel Original Movies "Adventures in Babysitting" and "A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits". Her acting prowess expanded through her roles in Netflix's "Purple Hearts," the thriller film "Carry-On," and the romantic film "My Oxford Year." Her musical debut was in 2015 with the soundtrack album for "Descendants," followed by her signing with Hollywood Records in 2016 and the release of her debut solo single "Love Is the Name". She released her eponymous debut studio album in 2022.

Carson's recognition in the industry is evident through her numerous nominations and wins. She performed the ballad "Applause" from the film "Tell It Like a Woman" at the 2023 Academy Awards, where it was nominated for Best Original Song. Her song "Come Back Home" from the film "Purple Hearts" earned her the Best Musical Moment at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Alongside her acting and singing career, Carson's influence extends to philanthropy and mentorship. She is the first Global Ambassador of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation and a UNICEF Ambassador. Her partnership with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation in 2022 led to the announcement of the Sofia Carson Scholarship at Berklee College of Music.
