Kit Hoover

Kit Hoover is an American television host, sportscaster, and broadcast journalist whose career spans more than three decades across major media outlets. Hoover serves as the anchor of "Access Hollywood" and co-host of "Access Daily with Mario & Kit." She received a track and cross-country scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. Her academic background in journalism, combined with a competitive drive, has shaped a broadcasting career marked by versatility and longevity.

Hoover made her television debut as a cast member on the first season of MTV's "Road Rules," a reality television series following a group of strangers traveling in an RV. Following "Road Rules," she was hired as an entertainment correspondent for "American Journal," a nationally syndicated magazine show. Hoover later joined Fox News as a correspondent for Fox Broadcasting Company's news magazine "FOX Files" and also served as a correspondent for "The Pulse" and "Celebrity Spotlight," co-hosting the latter. Her ability to transition between entertainment and news reporting established her as a multifaceted on-air talent in broadcast journalism and entertainment news.

Hoover joined ESPN as co-host of ESPN2's live morning show, "Cold Pizza," where she conducted live interviews and presented features and highlights on the daily program. Hoover is a host of the nationally syndicated Emmy-nominated nightly entertainment show "Access Hollywood" and the daily lifestyle entertainment show "Access Daily with Mario & Kit." She has co-hosted "Access Daily" with various co-hosts and later became host of the flagship program "Access Hollywood." Hoover has also covered the Summer Olympics in Paris, providing updates and interviews. Hoover launched the podcast "The Coop with Kit," featuring interviews with women over 40 from entertainment, sports, and business, exploring career pivots, personal achievements, and lessons on resilience and reinvention.
