Jason Wade

Jason Wade is a musician recognized as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter of the alternative rock band Lifehouse. Wade taught himself to play guitar as a teenager and began writing songs as a way to navigate personal challenges. After collaborating with a producer and recording demos, he secured a record deal with DreamWorks while still in his teens. Lifehouse quickly gained prominence in the alternative rock scene, performing alongside acts such as the Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, and Matchbox Twenty.

Lifehouse's major label debut, "No Name Face," produced the hit single "Hanging by a Moment," which became one of the most played songs on U.S. radio and achieved significant success on the Billboard Hot 100. The album sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. "Hanging by a Moment" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, won a Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year, and spent 20 weeks in the top ten. The band followed with additional hits, including "You and Me," which reached number one on Adult Top 40 and AC radio, and appeared on the self-titled album that debuted in the Billboard Top 10.

As the singer, songwriter, guitarist, and founding member of Lifehouse, Wade has led the band through the release of seven albums, with cumulative sales exceeding 15 million copies globally. He wrote several Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hits, including "Hanging by a Moment," "You and Me," "First Time," and "Whatever It Takes." Wade also recorded a cover of "You Belong to Me" for the movie "Shrek" and its soundtrack, and wrote "From Where You Are" for Allstate's Teen Driving Program, which was featured in the "Tall Lights" commercial aired on NBC.

Wade formed the band ØZWALD with Lifehouse touring guitarist Steve Stout as a side project. The duo released multiple singles, an EP of covers, and six full-length albums, including "Sweet Delirium," "Born in a State," "Head Movies," "For Polly Anna," "Young Suburban Minds," and "Artificial Odyssey." Wade also released a solo album, "Paper Cuts," followed by the LP "Ode to Silence." Lifehouse released the single "Cut & Run" and compiled five singles and one new track into the EP "Goodbye Kanan," released under their own label Allswell Records.

Wade's work in alternative rock, songwriting, and music production has contributed to Lifehouse's enduring presence in the music industry. He has collaborated with other writers and submitted tracks for film, television, and commercials, maintaining an active role in rock songwriting and music publishing.
