Jamira Burley Biography
Jamira Burley is an award-winning international activist, impact strategist and speaker. Currently, she works as the Chief of Community and External Partnerships at a leading national nonprofit focused on reimagining education. Burley also hosts The Otherside of Change podcast, where she explores the stories and strategies behind transformative social movements. Previously, she held executive roles at both Apple and Adidas, driving innovation at the intersection of equity, impact, and culture.
Over the last 20 years, Burley's work has taken her across the United States and 40+ countries working with collective impact teams representing business, government, issue experts and youth leaders to make an equitable change by evaluating and reforming traditional institutions of power to enable safer and empowered communities.
Burley was recognized as an Obama White House Champion of Change, 2020 Oprah Magazine Visionary, and a Forbes Under 30 Honoree in Law and Policy. She has worked with Target, Deloitte, Sephora, Obama Foundation, American Express, Ponds, United Nations and T-Mobile.
