Greta Lee

Greta Lee is an actress known for her work across theater, television, and film. Lee studied theater and musical theater at Northwestern University’s School of Communication. She made her Broadway debut as Marcy Park in the musical comedy "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." Lee later appeared on Broadway as Dorine in the David Hirson comedy "La Bête" at the Music Box Theatre, performing alongside Mark Rylance, David Hyde Pierce, and Joanna Lumley, and reprised her role in the West End production at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Lee’s early career included supporting roles in television and theater, such as Maxine in "Russian Doll," Soojin in "Girls," and Stella Bak in "The Morning Show." Her performance in the off-Broadway play "4000 Miles" led to the creation of the character Soojin for her in the HBO series "Girls." Lee’s roles have included a range of characters, from quirky friends to tech entrepreneurs, contributing to her reputation in the entertainment industry for versatility and adaptability.

Lee received critical recognition for her starring role in the Celine Song–directed romantic film "Past Lives," portraying Nora, a woman reconnecting with her childhood friend from South Korea. Her performance earned nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress, and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Performance. Lee also won the Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Film Award for Best Actress for her work in the film. "Past Lives" was nominated for multiple Academy Awards.

In television, Lee earned nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for her role in "The Morning Show." She has contributed voice work to the animated superhero films "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," as well as to the Pixar animated film "Toy Story 5." Lee also appeared in a Walt Disney Pictures science fiction film in the Tron franchise, playing Eve, a video game programmer and tech company CEO.
