Garrett Langley

Garrett Langley is the co-founder and CEO of Flock Safety, a technology company focused on using data, AI and connected devices to help communities prevent and solve crime. An electrical engineer and serial entrepreneur, Langley earned his degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009.

Before founding Flock Safety in 2017, Langley helped build and scale several technology companies, including Clutch, a car-subscription service, and Experience, a mobile-first platform for live events and fans that was acquired by Cox Enterprises for $200 million in 2014.

The idea for Flock Safety grew out of Langley’s own experience with crime in his neighborhood and his frustration with the limited evidence often available to law enforcement. He and co-founders Matt Feury and Paige Todd initially developed surveillance cameras themselves, ultimately building Flock into a nationwide public-safety technology platform.

Under Langley’s leadership, Flock has expanded beyond automated license-plate recognition to a broader suite of technologies, including cameras, gunfire detection, drones and emergency-response tools. The company says its mission is to eliminate crime while emphasizing privacy, transparency and accountability.

Langley remains active in the technology and education communities, including through board service at his alma mater, Georgia Tech, where he supports innovation and economic development.
