Alicia Vikander is a Swedish actress known for her work in international cinema and television. Vikander began acting as a child in stage productions at the Gothenburg opera house and trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm. After injuries ended her dance career in her teens, she shifted her focus to acting, appearing in Swedish short films and television series. She gained early recognition for her role in the drama series "Andra Avenyn" and made her feature film debut in "Pure," earning the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress.
