Dr. Burman holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin; an M.Sc. in chemistry and a doctorate in the area of pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Kansas.

Professionally, he has held many assignments with Dabur Group since 1980, starting with the R&D division of the Company.
