Tim Bagley Biography

Tim Bagley is one of the most sought-after character actors in the entertainment industry. He is most recognized for his roles as "Harold Krenshaw" on "Monk", and "Larry" on "Will and Grace," or as "Dr. Pellagrino" in Judd Apatow's films, "This Is 40," and "Knocked Up."

Tim has been a series regular, recurred, or guest starred on countless television shows; Some notable TV highlights include his performances on "Grimm," "Shameless" "Southland, "1600 Penn," "Zombieland," "Two Broke Girls," "Hot In Cleveland," "$#*! My Dad Says," "Desperate Housewives," "Pushing Daisies," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Tim currently stars opposite Lisa Kudrow, as "Richard Pratt" on Showtime's "Web Therapy. "

Some film highlights include the upcoming psycho-thriler, "Unpeacable," "The Space Between," with Melissa Leo, "Employee of the Month," "Finding Bliss," "Operation Endgame," "Accepted," "The Day After Tomorrow," "Happy Texas" "Austin Powers 2 - The Spy Who Shagged Me," and his first feature film role as "Irv," the mechanic, in "The Mask."

Tim was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, raised in Madison and Trempealeau, Wisconsin, and Niles, Michigan. After high school Tim moved to Southern California to perform with the singing group, The Young Americans, while majoring in Art with a minor in Psychology at California Stature University, Fullerton. After college came a string of odd jobs: a butler at the Playboy Mansion, a Mitzi Gaynor dancer, a Page at Paramount Studios for "Cheers," as well as a phone service operator for two pimps named T-99 and Blueberry Muffin. Somewhere in between Hugh Hefner and Blueberry Muffin, Tim began taking acting classes with Gordon Hunt, Nina Foch, Howard Fine, and The Groundlings.

From 1989 through 1995 he wrote and performed with the prestigious comedy and improvisational troupe, "The Groundlings," earning two LA Weekly Awards. Tim continues his work onstage with such productions as "Under My Skin," at the Pasadena Playhouse, the highly acclaimed "Underneath The Lintel" at Santa Barbara's Ensemble Theatre, Rogue Machine's award winning "Four Places" (Winner of Drama Critics Circle Awards, Garland Awards, and Ovation Awards), Odyssey Theatre's "The Receptionist," opposite Megan Mullally, and in the long running spoof, "Beverly Winwood Presents, An Actor's Showcase." Tim created his character, "The Captain," alongside Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Coolidge, Paul Reubins, Cheryl Hines, Michael Hitchcock, Jim Rash, Nat Faxon, and other Groundlings all stars.

Tim wrote and performed two one person shows, both featured at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, "Clean Boy, Dirty Stories" (about his experience as a Butler at the Playboy Mansion) and "Happy Hour," which won the Jury Award for Best One-Person Show. Tim is a regular for the alternative comedy shows, "Uncabaret," "Say the Word" at the Skirball center, and "Rant and Rave" at Rogue Machine.

Tim is proud of his work with the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center's Transitional Living Program, and their youth development and mentoring program, LifeWorks, and also the time he spent entertaining the U.S. military troops overseas with the organization, "Stars For Stripes."

Most recently, Tim was cast in the 2015 comedy series, "Mr. Robinson," as Supervisor Dalton as well as in the 2016 season of "Grace and Frankie."
