Taylor Scott

Taylor Scott's career has been up and down, filled with many peaks and valleys. Having worked through the effects of September 11, 2001, and the economic crisis of 2008 and 2009, Scott has stories of being hired, fired, coached, praised, and celebrated over the years. He has learned how to navigate the good, the bad, and the in-between of what he calls "Corporate Corporateness" to achieve fulfillment at work and at home.

Scott is a human being, like your customers, your team, and everyone in your organization. He believes that because people are all navigating the peaks and valleys of life, they should encourage each other. That belief led him to create Lead With Hospitality, LLC, to inspire a human approach to leadership that not only helps leaders get noticed and selected, but also inspires them to give their heart and completely change the game for themselves and their organizations.

While Scott loves sports, hotels, resorts, and hospitality leadership, his true passion is writing, speaking, encouraging, and inspiring. Drawing on his faith and personal experiences, Scott writes, speaks, and teaches to connect with people and reconnect them to what makes them happy, including having fun, being utilized for their special talents, achieving success, and growing into their full potential, both personally and professionally.

Scott's mission is to teach and coach up-and-coming leaders and executives how to Lead with Hospitality, ultimately making others feel welcome, comfortable, and important. He believes that before anyone becomes motivated to do anything, they must first feel something. His keynotes, workshops, and trainings unpack the principles, stories, and applications from his books, blogs, and articles through interactive, engaging experiences that audiences will not soon forget.

Audiences experience the magic of leading with hospitality and, in turn, become inspired to lead with hospitality in their own lives at work and at home. Scott believes life is too short for people to wake up every day, go to a job they hate, and feel sad, depressed, and defeated in the process. Leaders have the opportunity to make a positive impact, changing the game for their people and their own lives. Scott's leadership development content and one-on-one coaching sessions are personal, customizable, and unique to each client's needs. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, universities, and community organizations nationwide.

Scott has worked for notable brands such as Disney Parks and Resorts, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Wynn/Encore Las Vegas, Gaylord Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and Disney Vacation Club.

He graduated with honors from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration. Later, Scott earned a master's degree in management in hospitality from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Scott is the author of three books, "Ballgames to Boardrooms," "Lead with Hospitality," and "Give Hospitality," as well as the Lead with Hospitality Leadership Development Series of live learning experiences and curriculum for leaders, along with corresponding learning experiences for frontline teams, entitled, "Delivering Memorable Hospitality."
