Tascha Just, Ed.S., NCSP, is a Minnesota-based school psychologist and the founder, director and CEO of SEL Academy, where she helps schools and communities build trauma-responsive, neurodiversity-affirming systems. Just is known for translating brain science into clear, usable tools, such as her DOES-C framework, which stands for dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, serotonin and cortisol, and supports regulation, resilience and shame-free growth for both youth and the adults who serve them.
Just holds an Educational Specialist degree and a master's degree in school psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead, plus a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Metropolitan State University. With more than 20 years in K-12, Just has led and supported crisis response, special education decision-making and restorative behavior systems. She is president-elect of the Minnesota School Psychologists Association and an appointee to Minnesota's Children's Justice Act Task Force. Her talks blend story, cultural humility and immediately usable protocols, helping teams shift from compliance-based reactions to connection-based, data-informed care that protects staff wellness and improves student outcomes.
