Tarek El Moussa

Tarek El Moussa is a real estate investor and television personality known for his work in property investment, house flipping, and real estate education. El Moussa earned his real estate license at age 21 and began his career selling residential properties. Following the financial crisis, he shifted his focus to flipping distressed properties, which led to the creation of the HGTV series "Flip or Flop." The show, featuring El Moussa and his then-wife Christina Haack, documented their process of renovating and selling homes and ran for 10 seasons on HGTV.

El Moussa expanded his television presence with "Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa," where he mentors aspiring house flippers. He also appeared in "The Flip Off" on HGTV, a competitive house-flipping series alongside Heather Rae and Christina Haack. Over his career, El Moussa has flipped nearly 1,000 properties, sold more than 1,000 houses, and owns multiple apartment buildings and self-storage facilities, establishing his reputation as a real estate expert and entrepreneur.

El Moussa's personal journey includes overcoming significant health challenges. After a viewer noticed a lump on his neck during an episode of "Flip or Flop," he was diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer and, during recovery, also learned he had testicular cancer. He has publicly discussed his experiences with cancer, surgery, and treatment, and has been in remission since his recovery. El Moussa has used his platform to raise awareness about cancer and share his story with audiences nationwide.

Drawing from his experiences in real estate and personal recovery, El Moussa authored the book "Flip Your Life," outlining his "Evaluate, Emulate, Renovate, Duplicate" method for achieving success. He is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences and industry events, sharing insights on property investment, entrepreneurship, and resilience.

El Moussa's business ventures include a rental portfolio of more than 200 properties, a wholesale real estate company, a fix-and-flip company called Tarek Buys Houses, a private equity investment firm TEM Capital, a production company Homemade Productions, a real estate education company Homeschooled by Tarek, and a solar company Solar Vision. He regularly participates in guest appearances and real estate-focused panels, reinforcing his expertise in the real estate investment and house flipping industry.
