Tanima Ghosh

Tanima Ghosh is a senior director and executive with a career spanning more than three decades across highly regulated industries, including medical devices, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, space, and defense. Ghosh's global experience in STEM leadership includes roles in research and development, product lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance. She graduated in physics from McGill University in Montreal, received two National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Fellowship Awards, and completed the post-graduate Executive Program from Queen's School of Business.

Ghosh has collaborated with international teams on projects such as imaging of Tokamak plasmas, NASA middeck payloads, a microgravity vibration isolation mount for the Russian MIR Priroda Space Station, European Space Agency systems, military subsystems for Airborne Warning and Control Systems, the first undersea branching multiplexer linking Canada, the United States, France, England, and Spain, as well as adult and pediatric telemedicine systems and medical device hardware and software for computer-assisted surgery solutions, including Rosa Robotics Systems and patient-specific instrumentation. Her publications include technical contributions to medical device patents, regulatory submissions, and advancements in hardware and software for medical technology. Ghosh has contributed to the European Space Technology Research Center, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Canadian Nuclear Fusion program.

Ghosh has focused on the design, development, manufacture, testing, installation, and product lifecycle of technology aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life. She has served as a senior executive at Prenuvo, where her work centered on AI and machine learning-enabled medical imaging platforms. Her contributions include an AI/ML-enabled body composition software as a medical device for non-invasive fat, muscle, and organ quantification, investigational device approvals by institutional review boards for research, and securing FDA clearance for a medical device at a start-up company.

Ghosh is a keynote speaker and thought leader whose presentations address technical expertise and social impact. Her speaking topics include "Women in STEM: How to Motivate Girls to Innovate," "Leadership through Agile Product Development," and "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Leading Triplet Girls to the C-Suite." She has participated in global panel discussions on gender equality in the workplace, presented at the True Quality Summit Series on mapping Agile processes for medical device design control using the SCRUMBAN framework, and served as an industry panelist for the Canadian Association of Professional Regulatory Affairs on regulatory operations for medical devices and combination products using artificial intelligence.

An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Ghosh addresses challenges facing women in science-based careers, focusing on recruitment and retention of women leaders from elementary school to the C-suite and confronting biases that affect girls in STEM. As a keynote speaker and industry expert, she covers topics in science, education, technology, STEM, women in tech, security and defense, healthcare, space, innovation, engineering, diversity and inclusion, and Asian and Pacific heritage, providing insights for audiences across industries.
