Sonia Hunt

Sonia Hunt is a first-generation Indian-American chief marketing officer, bestselling author, food allergy activist, and global wellness speaker recognized for her work at the intersection of health, well-being, and business. Hunt addressed a lifetime of severe food allergies by reconnecting with her native foodways and exploring Ayurveda and functional medicine as alternative approaches to healing. In her book, "NUT JOB: How I Crushed My Food Allergies To Thrive," she details her journey to becoming food allergy-free, including experiences with anaphylaxis that resulted in numerous emergency room visits. Hunt was declared in remission by her doctors, a rare outcome among food allergy sufferers.

Hunt's professional background includes more than 20 years as a chief marketing officer, where she has shaped the brand narratives and products of global wellness brands such as Apple, TiVo, Califia Farms, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and Sephora. She received the WWD Digital Innovator of the Year Award for her work with Sephora. Her marketing expertise covers brand and creative strategy, digital marketing, product marketing, public relations, internal communications, and experiential events. Hunt has contributed to the launch of over $1 billion in new products and channels, achieved a 400 percent increase in conversion through digital marketing strategies, and accelerated profitable customer growth by 75 percent month-over-month through experiential programs.

Hunt chronicled her healing journey in her bestselling book, "NUT JOB," and in a TEDx Talk that has reached a wide audience.
